Less flavor impact than liquidDec 01, 2010

I had previously used faerie's finest liquid raspberry flavoring with good results. As many of my recipes require a low amt of liquid, I opted to change to a powder. The powder is much less flavorful than the liquid. The smell is not obvious (expected for powder). However, this same effect carries over into the product. The powder and liquid measurements are supposed to be equivalent. However, putting in 1/2 tsp of powder resulted in minimal scent and taste. I ended up using twice as much powder as liquid to get an equivalent effect. The powder is a much weaker flavoring product than the liquid. The taste is OK but does taste a bit more chemically than the liquid.
